The patent titled “process and methods to increase energy efficiency and cost reduction of membrane desalination application” allows to significantly decrease the energy consumption increase recovery with an associated reduction of chemical usage, and reduce brine discharge. The process modification is very simple and does not involve significant CAPEX expenditures. As desalination industry thrives to achieve more sustainable solution, the application of this patent can be for new desalination plant and can be retrofitted to existing projects.”
